Falling asleep under the stars to the sound of the ocean. Your dreams are filled with visions of the waves ridden from the day. Morning arrives and you stir with the sound of a crashing wave. Coffee on the camp stove and it’s time for a surf check.
We are especially excited to share with you a project that has been a few years in the making. Welcome to the Surf Shack at Surf Grove campground, located right on Cox Bay beach.
Everyday this summer, you can find our team there from 8am until 6pm, offering lessons and rental equipment exclusively for Surf Grove guests.
If you were wondering about that new campground that just opened up, then this might be the revelation that you need to check it out for yourself.
When it comes to camping in Tofino, Surf Grove is the only campground to be located on a consistent, year round surf beach, and is specifically designed with the needs of surfers in mind.
Walk from your tent to the ocean and catch a few waves at Tofino’s best surf spot. Then, rinse off in the Apres-surf showers and leave your gear in purpose built lockers for the next session.
Finish the day with a soak in their locally built cedar barrel saunas and you can say you got barrelled twice in one day. We can’t wait to see you at the Surf Shack this summer!
